Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account and associated data forHome Inspection Report Builder (HIR Builder), published byRooted In SoIL, LLC.

Delete some or all of your data (without deleting your account)

You can remove your data while keeping your account:

Delete an individual inspection, client, or report directly within the app.
Remove all of your data at once via Settings → Data Management → Clear All Data.
Or email us at support@rootednsoil.com describing the data you want deleted; we’ll process it within 30 days.

Delete your account from within the app

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the app:

Open HIR Builder and sign in to your account.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
Confirm the request when prompted.

Your account and cloud-stored data are permanently deleted once you confirm. This action cannot be undone.

Request deletion by email

If you can’t access the app, email us from the address associated with your account at support@rootednsoil.com with the subject line “Delete My Account.” We will verify your identity and delete your account within 30 days of the request.

What data is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes your login and email address, along with all associated data, from our servers — and, where synced through the app, from your device:

Inspections, findings, and reports
Photos and media
Clients and properties
Custom templates
Saved comments
Your saved inspector profile

What data is retained, and for how long

We do not keep a separate copy of your account data after deletion. Purchase and transaction records are held by Google Play and our payment processor, as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes; these records are outside our control. Any residual copies of your data in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.

When you delete your account from within the app, data stored locally on your device is removed as well. If you request deletion by email instead, your cloud data is deleted from our servers; any data still on your device remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall.
